DUBLIN(& other IRISH) PUBS

Pubs @ visitdublin.com
Dublin's pubs are slices of its living culture. They are the famous haunts of its literary set, politicians, rock stars and of course, Dubliners! Our capital city is home to some 1,000 pubs and no visit to Dublin would be complete without sampling a local brew in a real Dublin pub!
Hidden Dublin Pubs
This seems to be a contradiction in terms - Irish pubs hidden?! It's true though - there are a number of pubs in Dublin which don't need to tout their wares and consequently offer something different.
Please check James Joyce pub crawl page. It's based around pubs of Joyce's time and is fairly manageable (I think!). An excellent comprehensive Dublin pub guide is now available at www.dublinpubscene.com. There is a large number of excellent entries and the site includes other useful stuff such as nightlife and transport. There are many good pubs in Dublin, but you are likely to pay for the most expensive pint in Ireland. However, stout never tastes the same anywhere else in the world. Don't leave Ireland without trying stout or an Irish whiskey! The legal drinking age in Ireland is 18 but bartenders don't tend to ask for evidence of age unless you are unfortunate enough to look much younger!
